OPEN HIGH SCHOOL CAMPUS AT LUNCH AND NUTRITION TIMES
Each high school shall develop and publish rules regarding “open campus.”
If a high school chooses to have an open campus, the high school will notify each student’s parent/guardian(s) before or during the first week of school that students may leave high school grounds during the lunch period, and, for Robert McGowan High School, during nutrition periods only. Thereafter, the parent/guardian(s) of new enrollees shall be informed in the same manner.
High schools that choose to have an open campus policy shall have on file each year in the Superintendent’s Office a letter informing the Superintendent of the open campus policy, the rules and regulations implementing the policy, and the parent notification forms/letters.
