Branch Elementary is a unique educational setting because of the many contributions that are made by the community. The varied talents of parents greatly enhance the environment that Branch students thrive in. Most families represented by students on our campus bring with them the richness of their travels and life experiences. These experiences contribute to the traditional process that leads students to the threshold of academic success.
Parents take an active role as classroom volunteers, Young Astronaut instructors, members of various committees, Coordinators for Field Day, student-of-the-month, SBCP (School Based Coordinated Program), the PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) and other school activities. Students are chosen monthly as spirit tree winners, an award sponsored by the PTO. The student-of-the-month award program is sponsored by the 445th FTS. Parents are encouraged to visit their child’s classroom throughout the year, most especially at Back To School Night and Open House. Branch School utilizes civilian as well as military resources and facilities such as the Fire Department, Security Police, NASA, and various other squadrons.
