The goal of this Aeries Browser Interface (ABI) system is to improve timely communication with parents. This communication is designed to improve the student’s accountability. If you see something which you don’t understand (for instance missing assignments) please ask your child about it first. If that explanation isn’t sufficient, then have your child ask the teacher for more details which the student can then share with you. We want to encourage the students to be engaged and take ownership of their learning. If a score is lower than you would like then talk to your child about study habits, mastering concepts, or time spent on writing that paper.
After you have tried those first steps, but still need additional information, then please e-mail the teacher to ask for clarification. Please include the info your student has shared with you. Keep in mind that teachers are busy throughout the day. They rarely have time to check their e-mail during the day. Typically before/after school hours are when they carve out time to support communication.
Once logged in you will be given access to a number of tabbed choices including Student Info, Attendance, and Grades. The page will time out in 20 minutes. If any of the emergency contact information is out of date, please contact the school. Please do not stay logged on while away from your computer or if using a public computer.
And as a final request, please be forgiving as we bring this system on-line to include over 700 students. There will likely be some rough patches along the way. We will work on solving any difficulties to the best of our abilities. Thank you. We hope that this additional access will be helpful to you and your student.
Please stop by the school office and ask for a Parent Portal Packet. In addition to the packet, the office will provide you with your student’s Permanent ID, Home Phone on record and Verification Code. All items are required to register a student to the system and can only be given after you have signed an ABI Use Signature Page in the school office.
