CORRESPONDENCE-DISTANCE LEARNING-INTERNET COURSES

Correspondence-distance learning courses taken through a recognized accredited educational institution may be used to satisfy high school graduation requirements, provided those courses substantially meet the course content requirements of similar District courses that satisfy those requirements. Administrative approval must be obtained prior to enrolling in such a course. The principal or designee shall evaluate each course as to its application/credit toward meeting high school graduation requirements. Five (5) units are earned for the successful completion of a course that meets the equivalent of five (5) regular periods per week for one (1) semester.
