Muroc Volunteer Program

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Participant in the Muroc Volunteer Program. All MVPs (volunteers) must sign-in and sign-out in the volunteer register with the front office and must wear a volunteer identification badge provided at all times so that the staff and students can identify you as a volunteer.
* As a reminder, the volunteer program is subject to change as related to the ongoing modifications related to COVID.

TB Requirement

All MVPs must have a current TB Risk Assessment Questionnaire (RAQ) and Certificate of Completion on file with the District Office.

LIVE SCAN-Fingerprinting

Any volunteer that will be in the presence of students on campus, unsupervised by a district employee, or chaperoning a field trip must be fingerprinted. The fee charged by the Department of Justice for fingerprinting is $32.00, which must be paid at the time of fingerprinting in addition to the rolling fee of the operator.
This form can be obtained from the District Office.

*Reimbursement for the live scan fees are reviewed after 200 hours of volunteering with the district. These hours can accumulate throughout the school years. The hours will be logged on the sign in sheet with the schools, but please maintain a copy for your own personal records. Proof of hours completed documentation will be the volunteer's responsibility for the reimbursement application.

While on campus...

An injury or accident that occurs while on campus must be promptly reported to the Administrative office. Volunteers assisting in a classroom, please allow teachers to instruct you in what needs to be done. Discipline is solely the responsibility of the Site staff. If you encounter a problem with a student or see a conflict, contact a staff member to deal with the situation. As a reminder as of January 3, 2022 MVPs will only be allowed on campus for outdoor activities (no indoor opportunities at this time) and sports programs as approved by the Principal and sports administrator.

For any questions, or to become an MVP (Volunteer), please contact our district office at (760) 769-4821.
